SWF is originally an acronym for “Shockwave Flash” since the SWF format was designed for Shockwave Player. However, SWF file has become a standard means of publishing compressed Flash on the Web. Therefore, the SWF has been modified to mean “Small Web Format” as well.
SWF files can be generated from within several Adobe products: Flash, Flash Builder (an IDE) and After Effects, etc. Except for Adobe products, there are also various third party programs that can produce files in this format, such as Multimedia Fusion 2, Captivate and Socusoft DVD to iPad Converter.
The following is a list of programs which can open SWF files.
I would like to take DVD to iPad Converter as an example to show how to convert videos to SWF step by step.

Step 3.Reset output file parameters

There are several choices within every item to choose from. And you need to input Chapter, Start Time and Stop Time by yourself according to your requirement. If you wouldn’t like to change some item, just leave it as default.
(3)Choose the output file folder
Click the “Options” button to reset the output file folder for convenience.
Step4. Start to encode
Click “Start Encode” button to start the conversion.
Step5. Find the output video
After the conversion is completed absolutely, click the “Folder” button, and you can find the output video. Then transfer it to your device directly.
Note: Before you have purchased the converter, it is running in evaluation mode which can convert 3 minutes for each video clip.
