Have you ever used Windows DVD Maker? It is a total freeware. This article will show you how to burn videos to DVD with Windows DVD Maker in details.
As we all know, Windows DVD Maker is a great application to burn pictures and video to DVD discs. However, as a Windows built-in program, DVD Maker supports very limited video formats, such as avi, mpg, m1v, mpeg, mpe, mpv2, wm, wmv, dvr-ms, wtv and asf. If your videos aren’t belonging to any formats listed above, you have to convert them to the appropriate formats. So I will take DVD to iPad Converter and Windows DVD Maker as examples to show the whole process of converting and burning step by step.


How to Convert Videos to AVI

1.  Download and Install DVD to iPad Converter
Download website: http://convert-dvd-ipad.com/download.php

2.  Add videos into the Video Converter
Click the “Add Video” button to import resource files. Alternatively, you can drag and drop video files to the main panel of the converter.

3.  Choose Output Format
From the “Profile” drop-down list, choose “Customized AVI Movie (*.avi)” as the output format.
Note: You need to set the “video codec” to “msmpeg4v2″ in order to get the converted avi files successfully imported into Photo DVD Burner.

4.  Start the conversion
Click the “Start Encode” button to start the conversion. Then click the “Folder”botton to find the output files.

How to Burn Converted AVI videos to DVD
After the source files are converted into AVI video, launch the Windows DVD Maker, and import the avi files.

1. Add videos to Windows DVD Maker

Click the “Add items” button to import the AVI files. Then hit the “Next” to process the burning.

2. Customize the output details

You can do the customization shown on the above screenshot according to your personal preference.

3. Start to burn videos to DVD
Click the “Burn” button to burn the videos to the disc inserted into the disc drive previously.
